I went to Kunyung and Mount Eliza Primary Schools. I grew up in Koornalla Crescent, Mount Eliza. My first job was pushing trolleys at Safeway in Mornington. I celebrated my 18th birthday on Main Street. I played tennis at Mount Eliza Tennis Club and football on the pitches at Mount Martha and Mornington Soccer Clubs.
This Peninsula isn't a seat on a map to me. It's home. It's where I grew up, where I made my first friends, where I learned what community actually means.
And it's precisely because I love this place so much that I am so angry about what has been done to it - and what hasn't been done for it.
This community deserves a voice in Spring Street that belongs to it completely. Not to a party. Not to a donor. Not to a faction or a focus group.
